A sightseeing experience that blends culture, history, and authentic local flavors, available on Fridays from May to October.
We explore the historic Old Town, where the heart of the Greek Revolution first beat. You’ll visit Agioi Apostoloi, the small church where the uprising against Ottoman rule was proclaimed in 1821, and March 23rd Square, where annual parades and commemorative events mark this important moment in Greek history.
As we continue, you’ll stroll through the charming narrow streets of the Old City, discovering artisan shops that still produce traditional delicacies using time-honored recipes. While tastings are not guaranteed, you may be lucky enough to sample local products such as olives, olive oil, honey, pasteli, lallagia, smoked pork, or tsipouro — perfect souvenirs to take a taste of Kalamata back home.
The tour concludes with free time to relax, enjoy a coffee or lunch at one of the local cafés, and soak in the atmosphere of this culturally rich and welcoming city.
Our experience includes round-trip transportation from select destinations in Messinia: Stoupa, Agios Nikolaos, Kardamyli, Petalidi, Chranoi, Vounaria, Koroni, Finikounda, Methoni, Gialova, Costa Navarino.
Seats are limited for Friday departures, available from May to October.
